On Friday the official website for Gilgamesh Press went live:

Gilgamesh Press

Thanks again to Andrew McKiernan
ashr501 for some sterling work!

And since Friday has had 22 hits, not bad for a couple of days work there!

The book convention went well, there was an award for Fuat, accepted by my father-in-law and booksellers and writers aplenty. I had a chat with a few and was relaxed throughout.

Checking out the competition with sister-in-law Berolin and her husband Ninos

I also got to see the names of the illustrious three (Biancotti, Sparks and Warren) in Assyrian and will have to pass that on soon...

A good day all round!

Okay key words here:

Anthology, containing three novellas, all of which have something to do with Ishtar, goddess of love and war, and then, wait for it:

Written by:

Kaaron Warren
Deborah Biancotti and
Cat Sparks

(aka Red Hot Bad)

(oh yeah and edited by Mark S. Deniz)

I am so excited about getting these three fantastic authors in one book and this is going to be amazing, you mark my words!

Greetings

As you can see Gilgamesh Press has progressed farther than I could imagine in such a short space of time and the Assyrian nation's second empire seems close at hand!

Seriously, I decided to start this imprint as a memorial and tribute to my brother-in-law Fuat Deniz and had agreed to publish an anthology from Assyrians about Assyrians. All proceeds from this sale are to go towards the Fuat Deniz memorial fund.

However, what I wasn't prepared for were the ideas that would then flood my mind in terms of other books and then, when informing writers I respect about these, seeing the enthusiasm coming from them too!

It has just been a whirlwind of emotions and energy over the last week or so and I know at some point I will need to sit back and take all this in, see what actually has happened... not yet though, for now I want to revel in the moment, be thankful of the writer community I have around me.

For you guys truly rock!

To semi-announce stuff: there is to be the aforementioned Assyrians writing about Assyrians project and that will be closely followed by two secret projects, both to be explained in greater detail soon.

There is much to get excited about here and believe me you'll be impressed when you see what we have in store!
